Dr. Elli Birr, PhD - Senior Scientist

Dr. Elli Birr completed her doctorate thesis in the field of molecular biology and genetics at the University of Bielefeld, Germany. As part of her research, Dr. Birr developed a method for isolating the enzyme lysozyme from bacteria. This method was subsequently patented by Hoechst AG for the food industry. Dr. Birr has been a Researcher at the University of Oulu since 1991, where she has been studying the morphogenic proteins of reindeer antler. She joined BBS Ltd in 1999.

Harri Lumme, M.Sc. (Chem.)

Harri Lumme holds a M.Sc. degree (Chemistry) from the University of Oulu, Finland. Mr. Lumme has joined BBS Ltd in 2005 as a GMP specialist. Harri Lumme has work experience since 1983 in the pharma industry.
Mr Lumme has strong expertise in the Quality Systems of Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients. He has hosted seven US FDA inspections in the API plants and conducted many material and equipment supplier audits in EU countries, Switzerland, USA and Puerto Rico.
